Project
Socrata is a cloud-based platform that delivers Public Data to citizens and organizations interested in understanding local, state and federal finance and capital spending. Part of the platform includes the ability for clients to incorporate their own data. The objective of this project was to develop a new data ingress method. The primary challenge of the project was to allow for a wide range of data inputs and the ability for non-data scientists to clean the data.
Impact
Worked across the organization and with key customers to deliver the following:
- Conducted benchmark analysis, user research, problem definition and prototyping in medium and hi-fidelity
- Redesign of the Socrata Ingress, Data Wrangling and Visualization Pipeline
